4 Weeks from today I’ll be in Vegas competing at Fitness America!
Actually comments on Thursday:
So today could have started out better.. first, I slept thru my morning cardio, then I left my packed lunch tote on the kitchen counter so by noon I was ravenous, then during class, I added Crystal Light to my water but neglected to tighten the top all the way, so you can imagine what happened when I shook it up. Rush home between class & meeting with my trainer to get my food, then it was off to the gym.
FITNESS CHECK-IN!
Thankfully, things just got better from there! My trainer has been mixing up my workouts lately to be more aerobic and quick paced since it was interesting and flew by. Next it was time for my weekly measurements and posing practice. I went down again at 2 caliper points, so my body fat is now right around 9%! Posing & walking also went great, and I got really positive feedback from my trainer. I love having that going into the weekend, it’s such a great motivator
He also decided to mix up my carb-cycle for the next week to go 2 low, 1 med. Then starting next Tuesday I’m doing a “practice show week” of sorts to prepare for how much body responds to a taper-down carb cycle.
These lovely packages were waiting for me at home:
I’d told my mom that I was always cold (yes it is still in the 90s here, so apparently I’m meant for warm climates), so she sent me slippers, a vest, socks and flannel night gown! AND My order from Mix My Granola came. So I placed the order because I couldn’t resist missing the Halloween blend and taking advantage of their birthday sale. Sadly though I actually can’t eat any of this until after my competition. So graciously my lovely roommate agreed to basically hide it from me until then. This may seem a bit extreme but I can’t be trusted come week 8 of cutting, 3rd low-carb day to not potentially devour an entire can of granola. Sad perhaps, but truth!
And then it was off to get sushi with my old roommate. I had a little bit of edamame, and salmon & tuna sashimi. It was awesome, though pretty expensive.
Alright, think I’ll heat up a protein cookie, plan tomorrow’s lovely carb meals and enjoy fabulous Thursday TV!
Good luck with the comp.
Great blog.
