Day in the Life

Thank you so much for your congratulations on OpenSky! I’ll post the link to my shop as soon as it goes live. But in the mean time, OpenSky is donating all profits this weekend to the Haitian relief effort, so please stop by, browse, buy something fun for you while helping others..

Day in the Life

Earlier this week, Lizzi tagged me for a ‘Day in the Life’ post. I have to admit, since my internship changed and I’m not prepping for a show in the near future, my schedule’s not to shabby. I’m super busy, but since a lot of the work I do is in front of the computer on my own, I can be pretty flexible with my schedule. Or in other words, I’ll move stuff around based on what fitness & yoga classes I feel like taking that particular day :p

7:00am: Wake up, with or without beating the snooze button many times

7:10-7:40am: Brush teeth, straighten hair, put on makeup, decide which color of track pants & sweatshirt to wear :p

7:45-8:00am: Make  Coffee and Breakfast

8:00-8:30am: Eat Breakfast, Check email and Read Blogs

8:30-9:30am: Work on STS social media content &/or finish up readings and prep for class

9:30-10am: Head to ASU campus

10:00-12:00pm: Marketing Class (I may or may not be tweeting.. shh don’t tell me professor :p)

12:20-12:45: Prep & eat Lunch, Check email and Read Blogs

12:45-2:00pm: Work on STS Social Media Content &/or work on blog content

2:00-4:00pm: School work for my MBA

4:00-4:30pm: Get ready and head to the gym

4:30-5:30pm: Weight Training

5:30-6:30pm: Spin

6:31-7:50: Book it for Yoga

7:00-8:10pm: Flow Yoga

8:10-8:30pm: Contemplate what I’ll make for dinner (as I’m driving  home)

8:30-9:00pm: Prep & eat dinner, Check email

9:00pm-11pm: Integrative Nutrition coursework

11pm-whenever: Finish up Blog post

Fall fast asleep with Killer at my feet

That’s pretty general, but I love being able to play with my schedule depending on what’s going on that week.

Just Breathe

Lots going on right now, and at one point I started feeling a bit overwhelmed. Solution.. when I got home for dinner, I put the computer away for a couple hours, reminded myself to breathe, and focused on how fortunate I am to love my work, schooling and where I am in life right now. Just breathe. I know it’ll all get done, it always does!

Bowls of Goodness

Breakfast was delicious as ever in the form of Overnight Pumpkin Oats topped with a tbsp of Coconut Butter..

I did morning Spin followed by Flow Yoga, got home around 12pm and was so ready to eat!

I’ve been tweaking the Vega Protein Pudding recipe and this was the best so far! I topped it with Apple and the rest of my Apple Spice Granola.. So good & filling.

Vegan Protein Pudding

1/2 scoop Chocolate Vega

1/2 scoop Chocolate Protein Powder

2 oz Firm Tofu

1/2 c UVAB

1/8 tsp Xantham Gum

Dash of Stevia Extract

2 Ice Cubes

Blend blend blend.. enjoy!

I mixed up a little experiment last night that I snacked on this afternoon. If you like Overnight Oats and you like Cottage Cheese.. you’ll love this! I mixed 1/3 c Cottage Cheese with 1/4 c Oats, then added Cinnamon and Stevia extract. So good, but I didn’t take a pic.

I have tons of work to get done, so I went to Borders to try to escape the distractions of home. Naturally, I brought a few Kabocha slices to snack on :)

My refrigerator is getting pretty sparse, so I worked with what I had and concocted this rather odd dinner: Kabocha topped with 1/3 c Cottage Cheese + 2 tbsp Walnuts + dash of Cinnamon. I love the Cottage Cheese & Kabocha combo!

I can’t believe I’ve been off school for 4 weeks, it went by so fast! This weekend’s dedicated to getting ready for classes next week and enjoying the long weekend.

Dinner was a strange mix tonight but turned out great. Are there any new combinations you’ve tried lately and loved?

Your day looks like a pretty packed BUT good one to me! :) I need to start adding yoga!

Those overnight oats look so freakin delish. I need to try that soon!! We don’t have canned pumpkin now… due to a shortage! Who knew?! lol But I can do without, just means I need to get more creative! :)

I FINALLY baked up the kobocha! YUUUUMMY!! I tried it in a pancake this morning. It was good, but I need to play with the recipe a little. Thank you so much again for sending it here! I may try that cottage cheese/kobocha combo soon, since I love both!

Glad to see you are loving life even when it gets hectic!!

  2. Wow, you are one busy lady!!

Love the vegan pudding! I need to try that :)

  3. It’s great that your sched can be flexible at least. That pudding looks really good. Not sure if it’s the apple and granola I’m drooling over the pudding itself LOL

Coffee + cinnamon…that’s not all too creative, but I love it! I sprinkle the cinnamon in the ground – yum! I also love spinach in…everything? : )

Love your day break-down, you’re so organized! Impressive!

    Have a great weekend!

You are so organized, that’s great! I still have to make time to do that. My schedule is pretty flexible too so it makes getting training in easy. Yes, take time to stop and smell the flowers, enjoy and appreciate what you have, where you are, it all comes together at the end of the day. I have found sometimes I need to spend some of my life “unplugged” as I call it, back away from the electronics and just breath, appreciate life.
