It’s practically the weekend ya’ll!
FITNESS
I ended up trying a new Kickboxing class at my school’s gym. I’m happy to say it was pretty decent. She incorporated a few things I hadn’t done in a KB class before, and used weights, which is always a good sign! Ended up burning >500 calories.
Tomorrow’s Shoulders & Back and Physical Therapy.
NUTRITION
Another Quinoa Mess.. Yogurt + 1/2 scoop Cake Batter Protein Powder + Quinoa + Strawberries + 1 tbsp Naturally More..
I used this Coconut Milk Yogurt, because I’m sadly getting use to the conclusion that my body just doesn’t want to do dairy anymore.
For the most part, that’s no problem at all, but you know I LOVE Greek Yogurt, so I’ve been resisting the inevitable. I really like Soy Yogurt, but the nutrition stats are no where near Greek Yogurt. And unfortunately, this Coconut product is even worse.. it has NO protein
Guess it’ll be Soy for me.
Before Kickboxing I snack on one of April’s Low-Carb Protein Bars with a PB Protein Icing. I whipped 1/2 scoop PB Protein Powder with 1/3 c Lactaid Cottage Cheese and a dash of Stevia..
Post-KB I knew exactly what I wanted..
Berry Best Protein Smoothie
15 g Vega Smoothie Infusion
1/2 scoop Cake Batter Protein Powder
1/2 c frozen Strawberries
1 tbsp ground Golden Flax Seeds
~3/4 tsp Xantham Gum
Blend it all up and top with something fun (I went with a tbsp of Galaxy Not Sweet Vanilla Granola)
I ordered a Chicken & Strawberry Salad where we went to Happy Hour (by the way Soda Water + Blueberry Vodka + Stevia packet is a good lower Cal option).. but it was a fail. Looked pretty, but I only had the chicken off the top..
So when I got home I had a little snack
Coconut Milk Yogurt + a little piece of Protein Bar + ~tbsp of Pumpkin + Naturally More PB..

Any other Twilight fans out there? Did you see the new trailer? .. The last book is my favorite, how they’re going to make it into a “teen” movie I have no idea :p

My body is rejecting dairy now too! What is up with that?? I’ve been taking lactase enzymes with my cc and it seems to help. It stinks though!!

I’ve just been eating Lactaid Cottage Cheese, which I love, so no problem there. But I often forget to take the pill before yogurt. And I figure it can’t be good to take that much of it anyway.. considering how often I would ideally like to be eating Greek Yogurt :p

Hey! Check out http://www.notmilk.com! It will explain alot of the problems with dairy. It’s the pasteurization & homogenization that is the problem–not the lactose like everybody thinks. RAW milk, cream, etc is fine!
Read Florence Griffeth-Joyner’s autopsy report on notmilk.com & you won’t want cheese or dairy again! That did it for me! And after I quit dairy, I have gotten rid of all mucus-type problems—sinus, cough, even what I thought was allergies.

I like the coconut milk yogurt, but you’re right: NO PROTEIN. I want to try to make hemp milk yogurt. I wonder how that would be??

I don’t like the movies too much though but I absolutely adore the books. Have you read ‘The Host’? They will be making it into a movie soon too.
