Fitness & Fall

Good morning!

These days when people ask me what I do, I generally pause and saying, “well…” haha that’s because I do bunch of different things. The big one is that I’m in the market for the ideal career-starting job in social media & engagement marketing (no, not the kind involving a ring on a lady’s finger.. someone mistook that the other day), I’m a health coach, I have a part-time job (need a little bill-paying money) and I’m getting back into my fitness routine.

For my part-time job I usually work on the weekends, but this weekend, I think for the first time since I moved to Texas, I have both Saturday & Sunday off, wahoo! Lots on the agenda, but I thankful to have the time to really put a dent in my to-do list.

And in Fitness news.. although I know some of you saw it on Twitter, I’m now teammates with the beautiful Naomi & Stephanie. Yup I signed up with Cathy Savage Fitness. Last fall I did a camp with them and really enjoyed it, and they were lifesavers for me in Vegas at Fitness America (there was an issue with my tan turning green, haha). I also had an amazing team in Arizona through Scott’s Training Systems, and it was so fantastic to have that support system, awesome in-person workouts, bootcamps, and wonderful friends. But since moving to Texas, I really got off track with my fitness goals, and realized that I love being focused on a goal and part of a team. Right now I have rough competition plans for the spring, but we’ll see how things evolve. 2010 has been a crazy one. With graduating from business school, starting my business, moving to Texas.. there’s been a lot of hurdles, and I haven’t done the best job with staying on track fitness-wise. It seems at times I felt pressured (even if that pressure was only created by myself) to do really well, and I forgot I was doing it for fun.. and in doing so, it lost its fun. So we’ll see, but so far so great, and I’m really enjoying getting back into a regular workout routine and enjoying lifting (not so much with cardio quite yet) and being oh so sore

On the nutrition side.. yesterday I had this fantastic combo, which is pretty fall-inspired.. 2 oz Sweet Potato topped with natural Peanut Butter, 1/2 Apple and plain Yogurt (that I made more exciting with 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract and Stevia Extract).. yum!

Hope you have a beautiful weekend! Any fun plans?

I have heard nothing but great wonderful amazing things about the CSF programs…and can't wait to hear how you like it. How it may or may not differ from STS, what's new, what's interesting….please give us a report after you get into it!

Engagment marketing, social media, media of all kinds…that's what my husband does. He's had his media company for 30 years and has changed with the times.

  6. Hey Alyson, I’ve very interested in KSF! Can I ask – what did you sign up as? (bikini competitor, fitness, etc?) I was thinking of doing the lifestyle sign up since I don’t want to do shows…Can’t wait to hear you experience with them!!
