‘About Me’s’ are tough. You want to give people a good idea of who you are, but without going on for too long, being boring, or sounding completely self absorbed. So I’ll try to keep it concise ![]()
I’m a twenty-something (why do people do that?.. I’m 26!), leo, west coach girl at heart, who misses the east coach, and loves the warm weather of the south. I grew up in Seattle, Washignton where I did gymnastics for 12 years. I got my BA in Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley, then spent two years coordinating Women’s Health research studies at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. In 2008, I went back to school, and in May 2010 received an MBA from W.P. Carey School of Business at ASU, specializing in Sports Business and Marketing. During that time I also competed in my first fitness competitions and began studying at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. In December 2010 I received my Health Coaching Certification. Summer 2010, I started Your Nourished Life, an integrated health coaching company, and that fall I moved to Austin, Texas. I now work in social media marketing and strategy for a online community software company.
pheww.. so that’s the short & sweet “resume” me.
But the truly important stuff.. I am blessed with amazing family and friends all across the country. I am completely in love with Yoga and am astonnished everyday how it’s changed my life in the best possible way. Competing in Fitness competitions was one of the two hardest things I’ve ever done (the other was getting straight A’s at Berkeley my Senior year, haha). I am passionate about healthy living.. but what that means to me changes constantly. If tomorrow I woke up, and “didn’t have to worry about money no more” (if you know where that comes from we’re already great friends) I would travel.. everywhere and anywhere. I could never pick a favorite food.. I’m too moody, but my weaknesses are margaritas and pretty much any dessert ever. My favorite yoga pose is humble warrior. My favorite weight training lift is barbell squats.
Wondering anything else.. just ask! ![]()
